It is no big news that women are underrepresented when it comes to companies in the tech field in general. When looking at leadership roles, the numbers are slimming down even more. Fortunately, more companies are working for changing that. Today, our Head of People and Talent, Beatriz Dominguez is talking about how she feels about working in a tech company that is female-led and driven by equality.

Fortunately, more companies are working for changing that. Today, our Head of People and Talent, Beatriz Dominguez is talking about how she feels about working in a tech company that is female-led and driven by equality.
At Avrios we thrive for diversity and outcomes
"A couple of months ago I was tasked to take a look at compensation and equality across the board at Avrios. I instinctively knew Avrios was a “female-friendly” company. We have a female CEO, women in leadership roles across teams, we pay equally - meaning men and women earn the same amount of money for the same role and seniority, and on a personal note, I was happy to be recognized and promoted when I was 6 months pregnant.
In our data-driven world, however, instinct is not enough, and so I was happy to discover as I looked at our team a few weeks ago, that Avrios was 42% female. We are a small company, things change quickly, and just in the last couple of weeks two more wonderful women joined our Engineering and Marketing teams and our Chief Revenue Officer stepped up to be CEO, which means we are now at 46% and in addition a female-led company.
Although, we are still a few points away from a 50/50 workplace, 46% female is not a small feat, especially when you discover that women hold only a quarter of all tech jobs worldwide. Besides that, Avrios employs 50 employees of which we have 23 different nationalities, who speak 17 different languages. I am proud to be part of a company that lives equity, and inclusion. At Avrios, we are building a team that represents our users and our world, and that means hiring people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse perspectives."
